Brod, Max#
b. Prague (Czech Republic), May 27, 1884, d. Tel Aviv (Israel), Dec. 20, 1968, narrative writer, dramatist, philosopher, also music and theatre critic and composer, 1939 emigrated to Israel, dramatic adviser of the "Habimah" in Tel Aviv. Discoverer and friend of F. Kafka ; interpreted his work and edited his posthumous writings. His own extensive literary work focuses on the struggle for Jewish identity.
