Canevale, Carlo#
Canevale, Carlo, d. around 1690, master builder. Supervised the construction of the former collegiate church in Waldhausen in 1650; afterwards went to Vienna where he built the Servite church (1651), the Deutschordenshaus (residential building of the Teutonic Order) and the Deutschordenskirche (Church of the Teutonic Order), the Mariensaeule (column dedicated to the Virgin Mary) on the square "am Hof", and the Stiftskaserne barracks (1666-1668).
