Chiari, Johann Baptist#

b. Salzburg, June 15, 1817, d. Vienna, Dec. 11, 1854, obstetrician; father of Baron Ottokar von Chiari. Professor in Prague and Vienna; was the only one among his contemporaries to support the theories of I. P. Semmelweis.
