Chvostek, Franz junior#
b. Vienna, Oct. 3, 1864, d. Burg Groppenstein (Carinthia), April 17, 1944, internist, son of Franz Chvostek sr., professor in Vienna; founded modern biology of heredity and the study of genetically inheritable diseases. "Chvostek anaemia" was named after him, a type of anaemia that accompanies a dysfunction of the pancreas.
