Eisenerzer Alpen#
Eisenerz Alps, upper Styria, slate mountains, rich in mineral deposits (iron and copper ore, magnesite, graphite, talc); located between the Ennstal and Murtal valleys, and the Praebichl and Schoberpass passes, in the southeast of Gesaeuse Valley ; their southern and southeastern edges border on Ennstal Alps; Goesseck (alt. 2,214 m) is the highest elevation. From a geological point of view, part of the graywacke zone between northern Limestone Alps and Central Alps; in the east limited by the Erzberg Mountain.
