Emperger, Friedrich Ignaz Edler von#

b. Prague (Czech Republic), Jan. 11, 1862, d. Vienna, Feb. 7, 1942, construction engineer, designed many concrete bridges, high-rise buildings and ships in Austria and abroad (1890-1896 especially in the USA); 1901 founded the periodical "Beton und Eisen" (Concrete and Iron). 1926-1938 president of the Austrian Association of Engineers and Architects.
