Eyczing, Adelsgeschlecht#
Eyczing, noble family from Upper Austria. Were made lords in the 15th century and had their family seat in Schrattenthal (Lower Austria) until 1620. Various members of the family played important roles in the strife with the Estates. Michael von E. was executed in 1522, Philipp Christoph von E. was placed under the ban of the empire in 1620 because he had participated in the Bohemian rebellion; Schrattenthal was confiscated. The family died out with him in 1620; their estates fell to the Breuner family. The most prominent member of the E. family was Ulrich Eyczing.
