Ferndorf, Carinthia, municipality in the district of Villach, alt. 560 m, pop. 2,382, area 31.37 km2, situated in the lower Drau/Drava valley between Spittal an der Drau and Villach. Large Heraklith plant (thermal insulation materials), loading station for the Radenthein magnesite mine (magnesite forms the basis of Heraklith panels), tourism (64,283 overnight stays).
