Flexenpass#
Flexen Pass, Flexensattel, Vorarlberg, alt. 1,773 m, mountain pass at the western end of the Lechtaler Alps, crossed by the Flexenstrasse route. The road consists almost entirely of tunnels which protect it against avalanches and falling rock. It branches off from the Arlberg road above Stuben (near Rauz, alt. 1,621 m) and runs north via Zurs and Lech to Warth, linking the upper Kloster valley with the upper Lech valley. First built in 1895-1900, it was widened and improved in subsequent years.
