Fliess, Tirol, municipality in the district of Landeck, alt. 1,073 m, pop. 2,881 (1981: pop. 2,409), area 47.54 km2, bi-seasonal tourist resort (81,274 overnight stays) situated on the slopes of the Inn valley southeast of Landeck. - Distributing warehouses of a large-scale winery. - Late Gothic parish church (1443; consecrated in 1492; in 1693-1696 the interior was redesigned in Baroque style) with a Romanesque south tower, high altar; Church of St. Barbara (1794-1804; renovated in 1902); parish church designed by Hochgallmigg (1734) with Neo-Gothic interior; Bideneck fortress (first documented mention in 1343) with main residential tract (16th century interior).
