Fohn, Emanuel#
b. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), March 26, 1881, d. Bozen/Bolzano (South Tyrol), Dec. 14, 1966, painter. Began to study law in Vienna and later took up painting at a private school in Vienna and at the academies in Munich and Berlin (L. Corinth). Taught at the academy in Hamburg and spent time in Germany and Spain. In 1932 moved to Venice, 1933-1943 lived in Rome and later moved to South Tyrol where he lived until his death. Painted remarkable landscapes and vedutas.
