Gaspoltshofen#
Gaspoltshofen, Upper Austria, market town in the district of Grieskirchen, alt. 455 m, pop. 3,499, area 40.61 km2, situated at the eastern foot of the Hausruck mountains. Crafts and industry. - Altenhof centre for disabled people, district nursing home and home for the elderly; about 59 % of the working population are employed in the manufacturing sector: roof tiles factory, production of air suction ventilators (ventilation systems), special processing equipment (for the production of concrete pipes etc.) and agricultural machines (mills, silos etc.); control engineering; frozen foods. - Baroque parish church (1732-1735), one of the principal works of J. Pawanger; Baroque interior with boat-shaped pulpit (1770) by J. Ertl.
