Geinberg, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of Ried , alt. 403 m, pop. 1271, area 14.05 km2 , situated in the western part of the Innviertel region near the Bavarian border. - Largely agricultural, dairy business; hot springs (97° C) and wellness hotel.- First documented in the 12th century, Gothic parish church of St. Michael's (1358); Neuhaus Castle, formerly residence of the Ahamer family, today provincial children's home.
