Gerasdorf bei Wien, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Wien-Umgebung, alt. 165 m, pop. 6,661 (1981: pop. 5,279), area 35.21 km2, place of industry, business and trade, to the north of the province of Vienna, directly bordering the Vienna urban area. - Adult education centre and Volksheim multi-purpose building; economy dominated by production (1991 55 % of employed persons) and trade; since the 1960s industrial area to the south of the town: pre-cast concrete works, steel construction, gravel works, production of alcoholic beverages and vinegar, plastic works, sausage factory, printing, manufacturer of manifold paper, wood processing, computer firms. - Gothic parish church with late-Baroque interior.
