Glemmtal#
Glemmtal Valley (Glemmtal), province of Salzburg, head-water region of the River Saalach in the northeastern Kitzbuehel Alps, leading from the Tirolean border to Maishofen (running west-east) where the River Glemm meets Zeller Talfurche valley, it turns north. The Glemm valley consists of two sections, Hinterglemm and Vorderglemm. Hinterglemm, Saalbach-Hinterglemm (alt. 1,002m), Viehhofen (alt. 856m) and Maishofen (alt. 768m) are popular winter resorts, (winter) tourism being the major economic activity in Glemmtal.
