Grazer Feld#
Grazer Feld Plain, part of the lower Mur Valley south of the Murenge narrows, from Goesting (13th district of Graz) to the narrows of Wildon (Wildon Castle Hill, alt. 450 m). The 28km-long, fertile plain covered with grain, beet and turnip fields and uninhabited lowland woods rich in game lies mainly on the right bank of the River Mur/Mura. It is continued to the south by the Leibnitzer Feld Plain and surrounds the city of Graz, the airport Graz Thalerhof and the Kalsdorfer Sauerbrunn natural spring. It is crossed by the Graz-Slovenia motorway and railway.
