Höllengebirge#
Hoellengebirge Mountains, steep-faced, karstic massif in the Limestone Alps, in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut region, 16 km long, runs in east-westerly direction between Lake Traun and Lake Attersee; Grosser Hoellkogel mountain (1,862 m). Cable car leading from Ebensee am Traunsee up the Feuerkogel Mountain. At the northern foot lie the Langbathsee Lakes. Caves: Hochlecken-Grosshoehle and Totengrabenhoehle. Mountain refuges: Riederhuette (alt. 1,752 m), Hochleckenhaus (alt. 1,574 m), Christophorushuette, Naturfreundehaus.
