Hötting#
Hoetting, village, since 1938 part of the city of Innsbruck, situated on the left bank of the River Inn, first mention around 1150 as "Villa Hetiningen" and "Hettingen". Numerous finds from the Neolithic and particularly from the Bronze Age (urnfields) as well as remains of settlements from the La Tène period. Late-Gothic parish church redecorated in Baroque style (first documented mention 1286, alterations in the 15th century). The Hungerburg, the Seegrube cirque with cable car, the castles of Buechsenhausen, Weiherburg and Lichtenthurn as well as Innsbruck Airport are all located in Hoetting.
