Hahnenfuß#
Crowfoot, poisonous plant of the family Ranunculaceae with numerous species, e.g. the Alpine crowfoot, growing in the Austrian limestone Alps at altitudes of 1,300 to 2,850 m, or the rare glacier crowfoot in the Tirol, in the province of Salzburg and Styria (the flowering plant that grows at the highest altitudes in the Alps, rarely under 2,000 m). The crowfoot (also called "Gamskress" = chamois cress) has white or yellow blossoms and is typical of meadows and pastures. The poison anemone loses its toxicity when the plant is dried as hay.
