Hainisch, Leopold, b. Vienna, Nov. 2, 1891, d. Hamburg (Germany), Feb. 21, 1979, actor, director, producer, author. Acting engagements in theatres in Vienna and Berlin, later at the Berlin Broadcasting Company and from 1936 work for the television station P. Niepkow. From 1938 with Tobis-Film Berlin, from 1943 with Vienna-Film. Founder and manager of several production companies (among others Tyrol-Film in Innsbruck). Numerous television broadcasting assignments in Austria and abroad (including 60 cultural documentaries for the USA, numerous assignments for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, including "Mozart: Story of a Life" and "Der Fenstergucker").
