Harrach, Karl Borromäus Graf#
b. Vienna, May 11, 1761, d. Vienna, Oct. 19, 1829, physician (Knight of St. John, from 1806 in the Teutonic Order). 1814-29 honorary Chief Physician at the Elisabethine Hospital in Vienna. Devoted himself to the care of paupers and prisoners and frequently paid for their medicine. Maintained contacts with leading personalities of his time (including J. W. v. Goethe). Left his property to charitable institutions in Vienna.
