Hartkirchen#

Hartkirchen, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of Eferding, alt. 273 m, pop. 4,009 (1981: pop. 3,761), area 39.11 km2, west of Aschach an der Donau. - Concrete factory, wood-working industry, steel construction industry. - Late-Baroque church (until 1784 parish church of Aschach), tower with Gothic core, frescoes by W. A. Heindl and M. Dollicher (1750/51), Rococo interior; sepulchres (16th - 19th  centuries). Peasants' war memorial. In the vicinity, Schaunberg Castle ruins. Close to Hartkirchen lies Lake Brandstaettersee.
