Hartlieb, Wladimir Freiherr von#
b. Gorizia (Italy), Feb. 19, 1887, d. Werfen (Salzburg), Sept. 21, 1951, writer. During the period between World War I and World War II, as a "nationalist author", advocated the annexation of Austria to Germany. After the collapse of National Socialism, turned to the teachings of T. Haecker and wrote religious essays. He wrote poems, novels, drama and short stories. Was awarded the Bauernfeld prize for literature in 1917.
