Haselgebirge#
Haselgebirge Rock, composite rock body of clay, sandstone, anhydrite and gypsum, embedded in rock salt and other salts; constitutes the main body of the east-Alpine salt deposits (Altaussee, Bad Ischl, Hallstatt, Hallein, Hall in Tirol), 10-70 % rock salt content. Its formation dates back to the Late Permian Period and the Middle and Late Scythian Periods.
