Hasenöhrl, Friedrich#
b. Vienna, Nov. 30, 1874, d. Vielgereuth (South Tyrol, killed in action), Oct. 7, 1915, physicist, student and successor of L. Boltzmann, from 1905 university professor in Vienna. E. Schroedinger, L. Flamm, C. F. Herzfeld, F. Kottler, A. Rella and K. Wolf were amongst his students. His thesis on the theory of radiation of moving bodies (1904) was proved by A. Einstein one year later.
