Hauthaler, Willibald Kaspar#
b. Heimbach near Nussdorf (Salzburg), Jan. 5, 1843, d. Salzburg, Dec. 10, 1922, Benedictine monk, historian. From 1862 clergyman in the Monastery of St. Peter in Salzburg; studied theology in Salzburg, geography and history in Innsbruck. From 1875 teacher at the Borromaeum in Salzburg and from 1901 abbot of the Monastery St. Peter; numerous publications, especially on the history of Salzburg; began publishing the Salzburg book of official documents (Salzburger Urkundenbuch).
