b. Vienna, Oct. 25, 1863, d. Bad Gastein (Salzburg), July 27, 1926, geographer. Managed to turn the Vienna Academy of Export into the University of World Trade (1923/24 rector), where he rendered outstanding services in establishing the Geographical Institute and in introducing economic geography as a subject. Academic manager of the cartographic institute Ed. Hoelzel Revised numerous geographical publications for schools (Kozenn Atlas, 1906-1926); co-editor of "Geographie des Welthandels" (1910-1920) by C. T. Andree.
