Heinrich II. der Zänker#
b. 951, d. Gandersheim (Germany), Aug. 28, 995, Duke of Bavaria and Heinrich I as Duke of Carinthia (976-978 and 989-995). As a result of his rebellion against Emperor Otto II, Leopold I., a Babenberg, was given Bavaria, and Carinthia became an independent duchy, H. won Bavaria back in 984/85 and in 989 he also became the Duke of Carinthia. In 991 defeated the Hungarians.
