Hertzka, Emil#
b. Pest/Budapest (Hungary), Aug. 3, 1869, d. Vienna, May 9, 1932, music publisher; husband of Yella Hertzka. From 1907 director of Universal Edition, founded in 1901; made it the leading music publisher for contemporary music (G. Mahler, F. Schreker, A. Schoenberg, A. Casella, G. F. Malipiero, A. Webern).
