Himmelbauer, Alfred#

b. Vienna, Feb. 6, 1884, d. Vienna, April 18, 1943, mineralogist. From 1910 taught in Vienna; 1914-1920 prisoner in Russia, 1921 taught at the University of Agricultural Sciences, 1927 at Vienna University, where he developed the department for mineralogy and petrography. Research into salt mines and the mineralogy of Waldviertel.
