Hofkriegsrat#
Hofkriegsrat (Court Council of War), former supreme military administrative authority, established in 1556 by Ferdinand I, responsible for recruitment and supply of munitions and food to the troops and for the maintenance of strongholds. From 1848 Ministry of War. Presidents of the Court Council of War included Eugen and Archduke Karl.
