Hohenems, Count Marcus Sitticus von, b. 1574, d. Oct. 9, 1619, Archbishop of Salzburg; son of Jakob Hannibal von Hohenems, brother of Kaspar von Hohenems. 1612-1619 Archbishop of Salzburg. Reinstated Catholicism in Salzburg with great severity; held his predecessor Wolf Dietrich prisoner; began building the Baroque cathedral in 1614 and had the summer palace Hellbrunn built in 1613-1619.
