Holbein von Holbeinsberg, Franz Ignaz#
b. Zistersdorf (Lower Austria), Aug. 27, 1779, d. Vienna, Sept. 6, 1855, playwright, theatre manager, actor and musician. In 1809 worked as an actor in Vienna for a short period, then as a director and theatre manager in Germany; 1841-1849 manager of the Burgtheater, 1848-1853 of the Vienna Court Opera; in 1844 introduced authors' royalties at the Burgtheater.
