Huber, Johannes#

Huber, Johannes, b. Bruck an der Leitha (Lower Austria), May 31, 1946, theologist and physician. 1973-1983 personal secretary of Cardinal F. Koenig; 1977-1979 completed training as a gynaecologist and obstetrician at the Kaiser-Franz-Josef Hospital in Vienna; 1985 habilitation. Head of the Department of Gynaecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine at the University of Vienna, Vienna General Hospital, and head of the outpatients department for hormone treatment and fertility disorders. Main areas of research: in-vitro fertilisation, prenatal diagnostics, endocrinology. First successful in-vitro fertilisation of an ovum that was brought to maturity in the laboratory (spring, 2000).
