Hubert von Goisern eigentlich H. Achleitner#
Hubert von Goisern (real name: H. Achleitner), b. Bad Goisern (Upper Austria), Nov. 17, 1952, composer, pop singer. After living abroad for many years, established the band "Alpinkatzen" with Wolfgang Staribacher in 1986. Achieved a breakthrough in 1992 with the album "Aufgeign statt niederschiassn" and the single "Hiatamadl", a contemporary adaptation of traditional folk music. "Alpinkatzen" disbanded in 1994; long trips to Tibet, Africa, etc.; 1996 film music for "Schlafes Bruder". 2000 solo album "Foen"; 2001 Amadeus Award. Takes an active interest in Tibet and its people.
