Innsbruck Quartz Phyllite, impressive Palaeozoic rock formation of uncertain tectonic origin southeast of Innsbruck. Reaches from the northern Wipptal valley across Zillertal valley into the western Salzachtal valley. It is the material of which Patscherkofel mountain consists.
