Jörger von Tollet, Adelsfamilie#

Joerger von Tollet, noble family, can be traced back to the 13th century in Upper Austria. They became barons in 1577 and counts in 1657. During the 16th century, the family was among the most respected in Austria and among the leaders of the Protestant Estates (Baron Helmhard Joerger von Tollet). After 1620, however, their situation worsened considerably; some of their members converted back to Catholicism. The family died out in 1772 with Helmhard V.
