Jörger von Tollet, Helmhard Freiherr#
b. Schloss Starhemberg (Haag am Hausruck, Upper Austria), Feb. 17, 1572, d. Linz (Upper Austria), Jan. 1, 1631, leading representative of the Protestant nobility in Upper Austria. Attended various universities (Tuebingen, Strasbourg, Padua, Siena), held administrative offices and became president of the Financial Chamber of the Court in 1606. In 1608 and 1619/20 leading role in the Protestant movement and arrested in 1621 as "principal rebel". Was responsible for calling J. Kepler to the Latin grammar school (Landschaftsschule) in Linz.
