Jaksch, Hans#
Jaksch, Hans, b. Dubnice, Czech Republic (then Hennersdorf), Oct. 29, 1879, d. Vienna, Jan. 7, 1970, architect. Studied at the Vienna University of Technology and with F. Ohmann. At first, worked under Max Ferstel, 1907-1961 partner of S. Theiss in the Theiss & J. partnership in Vienna.
Works (together with S. Theiss): air force baracks at Wiener Neustadt,
1914-1917. Vienna: Quarin-Hof, 1924; Sandleitenhof, 1924-1928
(together with E. Hoppe, O. Schoenthal, F. Matuschek, F. Krauss and J.
Toelk); grammar school Wenzgasse, 1930-1931; "Hochhaus" multi-storey
building in Herrengasse, 1931-1933; Reichsbruecke, 1933-1936. Shop
fronts and interior design of shops of Palmers company.
