Katschberg#
Katschberg Pass, 1,641 m; pass between the Hohe Tauern Mountains and the Gurktal Alps at the Salzburg-Carinthian border. The Katschberg tunnel (length: 5,439 m) connects Rennweg (in Carinthia) with Hoef (St. Michael, in the province of Salzburg). The Katschberg - Radstaetter Tauern route is one of the most important road links across the Eastern Alps (Salzburg - Villach - Venice); the Katschberg road, which follows an old Roman road, gives access to the skiing resort Katschberghoehe.
