Kießling, Franz#
Kiessling, Franz, b. Znojmo, Czech Republic (then Znaim), Jan. 10, 1918, d. Korneuburg (Lower Austria), Feb. 20, 1979, poet, civil servant; editor of the weekly paper "Offenes Wort". His poems focused on the ideas of nature, love and time. In 1943 awarded the Stifter Prize, in 1950 the Austrian State Prize.
