Kirchbichl#
Kirchbichl, Tirol, municipality in the district of Kufstein, alt. 515 m, pop. 4,960, area 14.98 km2, situated in the lower Inn Valley between Woergl and Kufstein. - Open-air mud bath, leisure centre, Kirchbichl run-of-river -power station (built in 1941, 23.1 MW); cement works, production of ventilation and air conditioning systems, trade, bi-seasonal tourism (59,222 overnight stays). - Hallstatt period settlement on Grattenbergl hill; Baroque parish church (1733-1735) with late-Gothic core; Baroque Chapel on Grattenbergl hill; modern parish church by (1976/77) von C. Holzmeister in Bruckhaeusl; ruins of Lueck Castle; former stage coach post at Oberlueck, Kastengstatt landing stage on the River Inn.
