Kneissl Dachstein Sportartikel AG, founded in 1992 by a merger of the Kneissl (founded in 1919) and Dachstein (founded in 1925) companies. The company headquarters are in Molln, production sites are in Molln and Kufstein. The company produces ski boots and boots for sports and leisure time, as well as alpine and cross-country skis, Big Foot skis and tennis rackets. In 1993/94 turnover was 627 million ATS (about 50 million $). The company employs 320 people. Kneissl and Dachstein skis have been used by numerous winners in Olympic games and the World Cup (K. Schranz, A. Innauer, A. Moser-Proellu. a.).
