Kolbenheyer, Erwin Guido#
Kolbenheyer, Erwin Guido, b. Budapest (Hungary), Dec. 30, 1878, d. Munich (Germany), April 12, 1962, author and cultural philosopher. Left Vienna in 1919, lived in Tuebingen and from 1932 in Munich. His view of culture was strongly influenced by biologism ("Bauhuette" philosophy); advocate of National-Socialism. His novels and dramas dealing with the "German" Faustian individual were a great commercial success. 1911 Bauernfeld Prize, 1926 A. Stifter Prize.
