Koller, Hans#

b. Vienna, Feb. 12, 1921, jazz musician. Started 1947-1949 at the Hot Club Vienna, worked for H. Winter from 1950; had his own groups with J. Hipp, O. Pettiford and S. Kenton, among others (records). 1958-1965 musical director of jazz workshops for the German radio station NDR, 1961 member of the European All Stars. Appearances on television shows. Since 1997, the Federal Chancellery has awarded an annual H. K. Prize.
