Komödianten, Die#

Komoedianten, Die, Vienna theatre company, founded around 1958 by Conny Hannes Meyer. From 1963 their theatre was at the Boerseplatz in Vienna, from 1974 in the Theater im Kuenstlerhaus (1st district); dissolved in 1983. Focused on anti-fascist drama, plays by B. Brecht dominated its programme. Was the predecessor of the ensemble "Gruppe 80".
