b. 1254, d. Salzburg, March 25, 1312, from 1291 Archbishop of Salzburg. From 1281 Canon of Salzburg, 1285 Bishop of Lavant, appointed Archbishop in 1291. In strong opposition to King Albrecht I, against whom he waged a war in the Gosau valley for the rights to salt exploitation. Later became a supporter of the Habsburg dynasty.
