Koos, Wolfgang#

Koos, Wolfgang, b. Vienna, Feb. 14, 1930, d. Vienna, March 31, 2000, neurosurgeon. Studied in Vienna, Switzerland, Canada and the USA; from 1964 surgeon at the Department of Neurosurgery of the University of Vienna, Vienna General Hospital; 1973 Associate Professor for Neurosurgery at Georgetown University, Washington. 1978-1998 professor and head of the Department of Neurosurgery of the University of Vienna, which he built up into one of the largest neurosurgery centres in the world.
