Krems (Donau)#
Krems, River, Lower Austria, northern tributary of the River Danube, originates from the confluence of the Große Krems and the Kleine Krems near Albrechtsberg. The Krems flows through the southern Waldviertel region and runs into the Danube east of Krems an der Donau (alt. 203 m). Near the confluence of the Große Krems and the Kleine Krems are the ruins of Hartenstein castle and the Gudenus Cave. The main municipality in this area is Senftenberg (alt. 254 m), situated on the lower course of the river.
