Rudolf Krska, der 2017 auch zum Professor der Queen´s Universtity Belfast ernannt wurde, kann bereits auf eine Reihe von (inter)nationalen Preisen und Anerkennungen verweisen und ist (Co-) Autor von über 360 SCI Publikationen (h index 59; >11.500 Zitierungen). Krska´s internationale Expertise in der Analytik von chemischen Kontaminanten in Lebensmitteln führte u.a. 2009 zu seiner Bestellung zum Chief of Health Canada´s Food Research Division in Ottawa, die er ein Jahr lang leitete. 2015 erhielt Krska die Ehrenprofessur der Chinesischen Akademie für Agrarwissenschaften in Peking. Im Oktober 2015 wurde der hochzitierte Forscher zudem mit dem Wissenschaftspreis des Landes Niederösterreich ausgezeichnet. Das erneute Aufscheinen seines Namens in der aktuellen Liste der meistzitierten ForscherInnen sieht er vor allem als Teamerfolg des BOKU-Standorts Tulln sowie in der Kooperation mit der VetMed und der TU-Wien.
